I am trying to find out the average age of when Classic type leopoldi start breeding. It seems like Bd/leos breed at a younger age then classic leos but I would like to get a census from all the people holding onto those classic leos.

I have had a pair of classic leos since Sept/2010 and the male shows no signs of wanting to breed anything and nothing wants to breed my classic female. The male has been mature in the clasper department for a long time to no avail. My male Henlei and female henlei's have all started breeding and they are younger then my leos. So what gives? I even switched out my classic male leo and I am trying my mature bd/leo with her but it's only been a week so far but he isn't harassing her at all. So I am the census is leos breed after at least 4yrs old.

Thread cleaned. Anything further won't end well. Only warning I will give.

My leo females started at 2.5 yrs old and my leo males at 1.5 yrs old.

All hybrids and brown rays seam to breed sooner which makes you wonder is a bd/Leo is a hybrid (I don't think it is just makes you think)

I agree with that most female Leo and p14 are ready at 2.5 years

The males can be ready as soon as 8-10 months sooner which is where the problems start mature male non mature female = stress on the female
