Beautiful fish. I love barred Midas, I know a lot of people like the colored fish but I'm a barred fan all the way.
He's a beast and a defo keeper how could peeps get rid of him , worth setting his own tank up if got one and space 
They tried to keep him in a community tank. He was in a 150 with a 10" oscar that he killed. The next owner had him in a 400 gallon with a 12" butti, and two male 11" red devils. He almost killed the butti. His next stop was a 150 gallon with a 12" Jag. He would use his weight to hold the Jag down on the bottom of the tank, wouldn't allow it to swim. So he spent the next three weeks in solitary confinement in a 55 gallon. Now he's in my 150. I'll pick him up some dithers to stimulate him this weekend.
I feed all my cichlids a staple of NLS and hikari. But I had a question about the blood worms. I read somewhere that blood worms aren't good for Midas. I guess thats false.
Thank you for the compliment everybody. Moe has a wonderful personality. I'll keep you guys updated with pics as soon as I get his tank looking good.
Hshaha he sounds mental I like it , think I've finally found a match for me evil jardini hes killed loads of tankmates over the years , keep us updated on how he gets on in his new forever home

now, that is hilarious! first time I ever heard of a fish doing that: just sit on him and ask "Who's the Boss?"
