Tigs and Limas Together: Yay or Nay?

My crib
I'm picking up a 14" Tig tomorrow. I currently have a 12" Lima, will they get along you think or is this a no no?
Tank is a 600, 8x4x2.5.
 
I don't think you'll have any problems in the near future-- I'd give a little thought to wether or not the Tig would try to eat the lima when the Tig is fully grown...if you are planning on keeping both for life. Sweet dims on the tank BTW- I would love to see some pics of it.

I've done this combo and it worked well. Lima was a little bit of a bully

Shouldn't be any problems at all, especially in a tank that size. I've kept Tig and Lima together in the past for years with sizes ranging from when both were babies 2-3" up to 16" a piece. The Tig would never grow fast enough to overtake the Lima enough to be able to eat it even if it wanted to considering that Lima's can get 2ft and grow at the same rate.
 
Beautiful tank...they should b fine with all that space to get away from one another. If there is an issue down the road, tig trumps lima any day of the week imo. I always remove the less expensive fish if they fight lol...
