Neh, Galaxy Cichlids be hybrids. Well maybe Astero-blah rostratus are also called Galaxy Cichlids, but yeh well JD x Cyano/Carp are also called Galaxy Cichlids.
People these days can't even use common names correctly lol. H. Carpintis hybrids would create much larger pearls than that. Galaxy cichlid is just another gimmick name, just like all those FH names.

Specifics are made to prevent confusion. Scientific names are a prime example. When dealing with hybrids that are somewhat traceable/identifiable, it's better to say what they actually are rather than use some name imo. Hell, half the people on this forum don't even know the difference between a "Texas Cichlid" and a "Green Texas cichlid", and they're a pure species. But I can see where you're coming from.
