Options For 20Gallon Long

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Low tech planted with some super basic and cheap low light plants, along with some live bearers (my choice would be swordtails) so that you have a renewable food source for your monsters; as well as a "pretty" peaceful tank. :D

x2 I've done this a few times.. works wonders.. I did guppies at one point, and platies another.

Killi fish are pretty cool and vibrant! Or rams are neat. I turned my 20g llong into salt water. Maybe a pea puffer squad, those look fun

Do a planted tank and keep a pair of cons or kribs in it. You should check out cryptoheros nanoluteus. They will fit nicely in a 20 long and don't grow to over 5". Here's a pic of my semi done planted 20. Excuse the food. I'm using it as a center piece for my dining table.

Think that's what I want to do. Your tank looks nice and after reading about cons as a pair I think I want a tank with a breeding pair. The store near me has some but they are just plan white will they get and patterns or colors as they get older?

No. They'll stay pink. The females will have an orange belly but the males will stay the same. Check out kribensis too. They are prolific like cons but they're African, they stay smaller and their colors are better.

On some google searches I found some pictures of convicts that are striped kinda black and white I would love to have a pair like that. Any idea where to order some like that.
