That is definitely metriaclima. The open mouth is a dead give away.

RT Gallireya IMO.

Appears to be a nice one too.

i didnt kno that they where a hybrid...and witch one are u talking abut as being identified...how can u tell between male or female..??
i just found out that my fish Could be a Metriaclima Red Top Gallireya Reef..
and i dont kno what the other 2 Dark blue one's i have There still unidentified.
And possibly would like to to find out the specie's of these fish first and decide from there..

The first pic is a male, no doubt. The second could be a male that is not colored up, not 100%. The third pic, imo is a female. The fourth pic is hard to tell but I'm leaning towards female.

It has already been mentioned, if the seller did not provide you with a scientific name and collection point, it may be virtually impossible to tell what fish you have. Especially the females. Many of the different cynotilapia (sp., afra etc) females will look very similar.

How can u tell if it is a female or not..? and the other pic's are the same fish i only have 2 of them just took 3 pic..still dont kno what the blue one's are..when i bought them they where in a 150 gal tank and it just said assorted cichlid's there wasnt any name for them at all they where all mixed up..the male i have the Metriaclima Red Top Gallireya Reef does a rapid tale shake infront of the blue one's like he is trying to mate..not shure if its saembreed or if they can even cross breed..
