Hello everyone, hate to be "that guy" but i'm looking for some direction. However, some info first. The tank in question is a 150 gallon. Footprints 4"x2" so its no slouch space-wise.
i'm coming from a shoal of piranhas, started with 12 at an inch in size, lost 4, 1 during a move, 3 to canibalism after that. i recently sold 2 so now i'm left with 6, at about 5 or 6 inches a piece. i'm getting tired of the wet-pet thing. that and they're boring. i knew what i was getting into when i bought them, skittish, like to hide, ect. but the novelties wearing thin and i just screwed the tank up with some dirty driftwood. its since been removed and now i'm left with 6, decent size, very healthy, full finned illegal fish in a sand bottom tank with a couple low rocks that i can hardly see into... pretty lame if you ask me
if i were to sell these guys off, to a good home of course (and save me the spiel of legalities, i've heard it all before. it'll be disclosed to any perspective buyers
chillpill
) i'd kind of like an alligator snapper centerpiece-wise, small to start out of course and i have a homemade pond for the future fwiw. I'm a big researcher and know full well what in getting into with that also, but i'm looking for suggestions to surround him with. nothing too extravagant, as i'm anticipating loosing at least a couple but nice to look at nonetheless. i'm planning on crayfish too. i have one mamorkreb, but she refuses to berry (separate tank, 20L ) so hopefully thats in the works.
ts;dr:
150 gallons, 4x2 footprint, fresh start, decor and all. planning on small alligator snapping turtle, crayfish, semi-community.
coming from red bellies, looking for other end of the spectrum fish that will be just as cool while being an all around better fish tank
thank you!
also, any perspective buyers... i won't tell if you won't
