which cryptid could exist?

It's proved that the megalodon could not exist in modern times because the deep sea could not support a cold blooded animal of such massive dimensions.
 
Bigfoot. I've sadly wrote papers on him in college. Haha. There is more "fact" than most people care to realize. All over the world there are different types (if you will) of simular creatures described. Every continent has it's own version. I could continue to rant but I'll save all of you my crazy views haha.

Extince animals arent really cryptids are they? Although if I was going to be eaten by a shark, at least a megaladon could do it quickly

Yes extinct animals become cryptids if they're believed to still survive. It's why the thylacine is a cryptid.
