There's a few lakes in Texas and South America that's got them.

These fish can live for life in freshwater. Freshwater specimens tend to feed primarily on invertebrates such as prawns where as saltwater specimens tend to feed primarily on the vast, oceanic schools of baitfish.

Oh and tarpons aren't characins. Moved to Other Monster Fish.

My old indopac was putting on about 3/4 of an inch a month. I thought it was really quick growth until I got an arowana.

I really miss my old tarpon. I'd like to have one of each. They're perfect ATF dithers.

Thanks man, the two Atlantics are definitely getting there. They are in the 13"-14" range at the moment.
