Hurricane Season 2013: are YOU ready?

I hope this is in the right place.

so who is ready for the 2013 hurricane season that starts in a few days? im wondering how do yall prep all your tanks in case of floods or power outages? i personally dont do anything more than have a battery powered airpump ready to go and my tanks are on the 2nd floor.

I was evacuated and lost power for days for both Irene and sandy. Lets hope we don't make it three in a row.

batteries and generator if we lose power..although not in hurricane path.. we do get alot of lightening storms

There's not really much you can do. If you're evacuated there's no way to change batteries in air pumps or put gas in generators. I turn off all pumps that aren't self priming and keep lights on their mechanical timer. I'll fast fish for a couple days before if it looks like its going to be nasty but there's really not much else you can do
