Looks great. Wide tanks like that make my pants fit snug. lol
What are the tank dims? Read through the whole thread but I didnt catch it.

Why not get an ultima or crushed glass filter thru kendragon? IMO it makes more sense to run a beefier canister style filter since you upgrading. Love the updates. Keep em coming.

Drip systems are all the same it's the way you use and utilize it that makes it different from others.

You can also add fancy gizmos to it but simple is best.

My plan is quit simple. I'll drip into the tanks at the outflow of of FX5's so the new water is circulated throughout the tank. I had the tanks drilled at the bottom in case I wanted to go with a sump. I'll use a stand pipe cut to the height I want the water level to be at and drain it to the floor drain. This will not only maintain my water level for the drip, but will surface skim as well. To prevent the rays from breaking the pipe off, it will be boxed around with glass with a screen at the top. If I wanted to go to a sump system I could shorten the pipe and have an overflow box.

I know a few guys with the Ultimas and they claimed mechanical filtration wasn't that good. I've had great results with FX5's so I'll stick with them. I don't have a central system. All my tank are individually filtered. I like it that way I can quarantine, run different temps, or treat sick rays without having to treat the whole system. If something crashes in a tank, I can easily swap out FX5's.

Nice. Makes me feel very good about my intended 8x4x30 which I should have by august.

I've been wanting to get big tanks for a while but was in the middle of moving. Once we settled in I had a few option before settling on this plan. Can't wait to get it all set up.

very clean and nice show room A+

Thanks. It will look a lot better once it's all done and automated. My plan is to have it done by the end of June.

FINALLY got my second tank. It was supposed to be delivered but after multiple cancellations I went and picked it up myself. The company did send a couple guys to help take it into the basement which was a big help. Now all I need is the lids for both tanks and the overflow for the second tank. I installed the sediment / carbon filter and water lines for the drip. I'm sourcing out a UV system to install inline on my drip lines and I'll be able to start filling the tanks.
