Picked up two of these creek chub knucklehead lures. Was wondering if they could be used for fw as they are made for fw. Id like to try them on an early morning topwater bass fishing trip. Not sure if most bass could even eat something so large but I know that some can. They are about 6" and here is the link to the pictures

I feel like I would only be catching 5+ pound bass on this. Looks like an enourmous rebel popr

You might be surprised what will eat that. I've caught bass as small as 3 lbs on an 8 inch swim bait similar to this one. I bet you'd have 2 lbers eating that bait, they don't call them large mouths for nothing lol.

Lol wow I didnt expect that and after I just thought about it bass come from the rear of a topwater normally I was thinking the width of the mouth thinking they come from directly under, which they do but in my experience they trail it and come from the rear more than directly under it

I honestly have never thought of it that way haha. I just figured they'd get a hook in the mouth one way or another.

Ya I was always thinking of how they approach and strike the bait and I figured they arent sharks so they wouldnt come from directly under too often. I usually topwater fish in shallow water also so they follow the bait or instantly strike it abover them.

Btw nice swimbait. Liking the jointed swimbaits! Love the performance of these

They are pretty cool but the require a different set up compared to an average bass rig. something with 20 lb+ line and a heavier rod. They're also expensive too! Most cost over $40 and plenty are over $60...that's for one lure:eek: I've seen grown men cry when they lose one haha
