I have 5 Dat's over a bunch of Polys. 4 of the 5 keep each other cornered all the time. The 5th is way bigger and ignores them.

as far as My tank goes My Tiger stay on the bottom more than Med and top. How about some schooling fish to swim around all water columns with monster Bichirs swimming around the bottom. Remember bichirs arent as fast to react to food so your gona have to bumps tons in til O's& Dats are done feeding.

That won't be a problem and if it does become a problem i'll just tube feed. I'd like to put some oddballs on the top and middle level, but don't have a really good idea i really like the oscars and dats, but i feel there are a lot more possibilities of cool oddball fish for the top/middle

I got a Odoe growing out for my Tiger tank. I had a Jardini in with them but it got too big for my 18 so I had to rehome it. It was a great top water fish, always swimming

Which one the Odoe or the jar? I've heard jars are aggresive (most of the time) and heard they could be fine for a long time until they snap and all the fish are dead. And the Odoe is illegal in Texas......

I meant the Jar. I grew it out with Dats and other fish so It was fine with other fish. It was 12-14" when I sold it. I did have a 10" Odoe with pbass and dats til it Jump and died when i moved.

18 full grown bichirs would be pushing it in a 200 gal.
