Hey everyone. I have 2 flowerhorns and many people use NLS. I know someone selling a 5 lb. Bucket of 3.3 mm fish formula pellets for $50 and a 5lb. bucket of 2mm thera fish formula bucket for $53. They're both still sealed and expires in 2016. Never tried NLS before so what does anyone think about the product and price?

Buying them on Amazon would actually cost $10 more after tax and shipping (a 20% increase) so I would say those are great prices. The difference between thera A and regular formulas is the thera contains extra garlic, which has anti-parasitic properties by strengthening the immune system. It's supposed to be used when your fish are undergoing stress from transporting or disease recovery, but I've been been feeding it as a staple for my fh and pacu since they were just moved to a new tank. It does have a noticeable garlic smell tho, the food itself doesn't smell that bad but the water is so strong from a few feet away it kinda makes my eyes burn lol. And that's with weekly 50% wc's so I'm not sure how comfortable the smell makes my fish (or people that come over since the tank is in my dining room...)

Manufacturer Retail price is $49.99. They can't sell it any cheaper. He's selling it for around what he paid for it.

Thanks for letting me know. I would have spent more for gas then buying it locally.
