Ya ive caught a couple on cranks. Wish I could catch on senkos lol. Ill try again today or if not today maybe tommorow. But my pond is very full of large bass that havent beem fished a lot other than by me. So hopefully ill have a better catch ratio at my pond
Big bass get big by being lazy and nor chasing fast food you get senkos down you will catch the fat lazy ones and if you ever see a big bass throw a senkos before anything else

Oh. I always scan the weedlines with topwaters and the biggest bass Ive caught are the ones Ive posted on these threads. I really appreciate the advice and hopefully I will catch more like this.
Yeah I hope you catch the lunker that one I posted a few days ago was a senko fish he was fat as hell hit it on the drop

I headed up here to new york today and it turns out my pond really rose a lot. Im not even kidding when I say that the pond is about 5-7' above where it normally is. Its awesome and all the trees are underwater and I was fishing on my kayak along the trees. You can also see straight to the bottom of the pond up to about 5' then it blacks out and starts getting dark. Picked up an abu garcia 6'6" rod and a quantum qray reel. Loaded it up with some 6 lb test and im hoping for some big bass tommorow heres some pics of my rods in my rod holder.

I headed out this morning on my pond and I was using topwaters. I decided to try out my baitcaster as I was using only my spinners. So I cast out a yum green watermelon 5" crawfish texas rigged. By the way the line is 12 pd spiderwire mono. Im on my kayak fishing the flooded treeline when BAM I get a huge hit and my 7' very stiff baitcaster bends like its one of those dora fishing poles. Then I go and start to reel it in and the fish goes directly under the front of the kayak and unhooks itself in the process. I see it swimming to the right of me and I can say without any exxageration this was an 8+ lb bass. It was an absolute monster. Im really pissed at myself for not being able to catch this absolute lunker of a bass. But ill hopefully get another shot and ill be heading out again in a couple minutes
Im also really starting to like my baitcaster. Cant put the thing down. Only down side is I m getting birds nests every now and then. But im getting better at it and casting much farther. My new abu garcia I picked up yesterday is absolutely amazing. And the quantum reel matches the looks with performance. Its a great light action setup and performs amazingly
