So my girl friend has a small little 10 gallon tank she put into our kitchen. At one time it had several small types of fish and a yellow or green spot puffer. I told her eventually it would only be the puffer lol. That certainty obviously came true and now it's just the puffer, one guppy and a Chinese agea eater. This morning I got up at 10:00 am and wen to make some coffee. To my surprise the puffer had jumped from the tank and was, or appeared to be dead (very dry) looked as if it had been there for some time. I laughed, leaving the puffer where I found him as not to spoil the surprise once my girl friend woke up lol. At 11:30 am she finally rolled her *** out of bed and came to see the dried puffer :) She went to pick it up to dispose of it and then I get a call/yell to come inside right away. The freaking puffer had moved a fin as she went to pick it up and was not dead. I picked it up, throw it into the tank, one fin started to swim immediately, then another no more then 5 seconds later, and in under 10 seconds the puffer was swimming around like nothing had happened and he had not been out of water for at least 1.5 hours hahahahahh freaking fish! I have a pic I will post up later. Strong little bastards they are lol.. h:grinno:

I read what he said. I still think it's dumb. You never know and it's careless to assume. I'm glad he survived tho][/QUOTE]

I did not care and secretly I wished it had been dead. He is a dud of a puffer and now we are stuck with him longer. Tough bastard though

Congratulations Bastardfish, you are the first person to have made my ignore list in 20 odd years on various forum and bulletin boards...

I know some people who have dogs I don't like ..want to leave them in your car for a while till they die???

or is that too sick for you???

note...I don't recommned leaving pets in vehicles at any time..winter, spring , summer or fall...

If you don't want him, why not just donate him back to the fish store. That seems pretty sh***y.
