haha I later found it it was my baby bichir that ate my aro. 0___O That's even worst! I sold the wrong culprit!

anyways, yellows tails take a crazy long time to even hit 1 foot. Never seen one that big in captivity. The wolves and cudas could possibly work because cudas are mid swimmers while wolves dwell near the bottom. i do think ur right about the part that small fish are easy snacks for wolves. If you get a bigger cuda and a smaller wolf, it could work. cudas are pretty fast.

well can't be 100% sure. Never tried the combo.

I don't know about this. I've had a 3" common wolf take a chunk out of a 7" red tail a few years ago. Every individual has its own personality though so maybe I had an extremely aggressive wolf.

my 3 yellowtails went from 2" to about 7 in less then 4 months. i dont see how it could take more then a year to hit a foot after that. i did have a lot of current but i still wouldnt suggest it. thats funny about ur bichir tho.

Wow! How did you get yours to grow so fast? Before I sold my yellowtail, I got it about 3" and in a year, it only grew to 5".

common wolves are WAY more aggressive than red wolves.

Did not know that. That explains a lot. I kinda stopped researching them when I found out they were actually illegal here.

red wolves (erythrinus family) are pretty much the only species of wolf that can be successfully kept with tankmates with minimal damage. Hoplias species are possible but it can cause a great deal of damage.

oh well. 3 red wolffish will always do.

i find every fish explodes in growth rate with a lot of current. in my 150gal tank i have 12000gph. gatf are suppose to grow slow but i got mine in late march around 3" and now the big one is pushin 7".
