I've been told blacks are a nightmare with conditions while under 8" , any slight change in parameters and they get sick , defo not as hardy as our good old jardinis , I must say id rather have a black over a silver though much better colouration on fins

damn.... they're actually my fave aro. If I had the chance, I would have happily traded both my rays (when they were alive, of course) for a black arowana.

wouldn't go quite so far as to call it dead. I think we're just all pooling our own resources so we can continue blowing our money on these fish...

u have the plywood build (shame about the pond but it is what it is), evz has his lighting, and I'm contemplating a big-*** custom tank or tearing down my rack to build a new 1 lol

true i gotta pick up a few supplies from bunnings soon but my banna lilies plants are sproting up to the suface to make lillies so my jar will be happy

Not too bad. Out of the original 6 jags I've still got 3.

And my brother - cheeky kid that he is - took my small tank and turned it into a planted amazon setup last week. Looks awesome, but would have been nice if he didn't sell of my butis butis that was living in it lol
