Been working on this for the past few weeks and thought I'de share a few pics.

Gotta have our priorities in order you know! lol... and yeah I started adding a thin layer of sand on the botton simply because the blue squares make me want to stab my eyes out.. lol and the fish seem to cluster around the small bit already with sand, particularly the rays and cat. The eel doesn't seem to really care and cruises around the whole pool with the gar, or picks a peice of DW to hang-out in. I would like ot get a few BIG peices now that I have the space to give the eel something more substantial to hide in.. BUt this thing is going to take monthes if not years to evolve into the picture in my mind.

It'll look a lot better wih sand! I got sick of looking at the blue bottom when I had mind, Catfish really seemed to enjoy the sand over the pool bottom. Had to make sure I didnt step on the pleco when I was placing more sand though :p Driftwood was added around the same time, but I only had two pieces - I'm looking forward to seeing the changes over time! Careful about mold though :p Too much humitidy for the wood above the pool for me- kinda ended the pool idea for that reason, but it was cool while it lasted!
Good luck!

one of the first things hubby did was get a dehumidifier.. and a hose..lol it drains into our sump-pump well so far its been keeping up with the pool. also have a fan to help keep the air circulated down there ect.

Thought I'de share some pics of the hybrid... he's grown HUGE in the few weeks he's been in the pool and surprisingly my TSN Is keeping up. WE are having some "technical difficulties" and will be adding a 45mil liner to the pool as the bottom liner is so thin the sand and pump created some fine holes in it... so we've been dealing with a slow leak the past week while we waited for the liner o get here! ( it finally came last night!) so today is emptying the pool... and when hubby gets home from work we will be removing the fish into totes and I will be taking "official" lengths on everyone as well as checking for over-all health ect. .. Which should all be fun being 6 monthes pregnant... Taking bets how many times I end up on my keister in the pool trying to catch fish!

Had to drain my 150-gallon for the fear of a future tank bust (now a reptile enclosure), and the TSNxRTC Hybrid and Channel Catfish had to be moved to a small pool for now. So now have a pool in the basement once again, but only 300-gallons this time. Hopefully I don't have the same leaking issue anytime soon.
Good luck!

That trop is freaking ginormous!

Good luck with your repairs. Be careful, mama! :)

Haha yes I will be.. I totally forgot the 4th was this past week... so the pool is draining as we speak... Today will be a fun day!

And Yes that one is. I've caught northern pike smaller then her! But Madding gets the credit for growing this fish out, and sbuse had them for awhile before I got them from him... they've been around. They do seem to enjoy the pool!
