I am moving across the country, and sadly I don't think I can easily bring my fish on a week long drive across the country. Of all my fish my Delhizi has always been my favorite. I've had it since it was about two inches long when I purchased it from a good fish store for $40 and have had it for a few years without a single problem. Like all bichirs he (not actually sure if it's male or female) breathes air and is better for someone who is more experienced with keeping fish. I've trained him to eat carnivore pellets in addition to frozen meat and occasional live fish (NOT feeder fish). If you are interested in my fish, but don't know much about bichirs I suggest reading about them to understand the species and see if it would work for you. Right now he's about ten inches long and is not done growing (can reach 14+ inches and get thicker). I'm willing to wait for someone who can provide a good home for him, with a large tank (he's in a 75g now which I'm also selling, 55g would probably be alright but no smaller) and tank mates that won't attack him (he's in with two oscars and a Jack Dempsey, all a few inches smaller than him and they have no problems). He's not an aggressive fish and likes to have cover to hide under on the bottom until he becomes comfortable and swim around in the evening/ night, although he isn't strictly nocturnal. If you are interested or have any questions I did not address feel free to PM me.
