I don't know. What do you recommend. I could try some cool cross. My parents are going to say "I told you so" though because they said don't buy them. I liked and had a bad feeling it was a male, but I also saw the rounded dorsal, smaller size, less blue and they both got along. So I thought I'd risk it.

I might have to find another bg or an eb but they cost a lot of $$. I got these two for a decent price.

I would say find a female bgjd...its going to be hard to find a female ebjd...if you lived in california id have an extra one for you...check out craigslist or aquabid.com

How much did you pay for them?? I would just leave it alone until you find a female bg

I paid $40 for the pair which I think is decent price at this size. Ebjd a her go for $40-$80 ranging from 1.5"-4" while regular jacks go for $5-$15 ranging from 1"-3"

I know a breeder her sells blue genes for $20 at 2" so I'll see what I can do.

Yea I think you would get 75 regular and 25 bg but the odds of you picking out a bg to breed with the bg you already have would probably be wasting time in my opinion...I woukd soend 20 with the lady you know and get a for sure bg...no need to rush...patience is definetly a virtue in this hobby

What would happen if I bred to a regulars jack? 75% regular and 25% blue gene?

If those are in fact blue genes then if they breed to a regular jd you should get somewhere around 25% bg and 75% normal jds. Im not dead on with that either so I might be off.

I'm pretty sure they are blue genes. The owner says so and the original breeder says that the parents were a bg and eb
