Fort worth
I could not keep my 220 at my house due to it being a pier beam house. So a friend said I could keep it at his. The tank has been up and running for 2 months, one month with fish. I came over today to find the aquarium full of food, i mean full of food, top to bottom a weeks worth of food, and fish floating. I lost my 20 in rt/tsn hybrid, 3 full size silver dollars, a sunfish, and 3 bluegill. The jury is out on the rest. When I explain the situation, the first words I hear back are... Im pretty sure its not the food man. Coming from someone who has never owned fish. Why oh why didn't I explain better how to feed the fish!!

:duh: I know you're in rage but friendship is much more valuable than fishkeeping, BTW the guy didn't have experience or an idea how to keep those fishes so you're really in tight mess. Well, time to rebuild and educate someone. Be calm and don't let that hot-steam clouds yourself.

you sued your friend?

:lol3:
I just literally lol'ed at this one.

wow what a humility! :clap Well friend I have a kudos for you by showing that trait. You could get even by putting him in the fridge tho. Kiddin.

and i think what compounded the situation is i was rushed into adding fish into the tank when it was barely cycled with two new fx5's on it because the people in the house were fed up at looking at an empty tank, as most no aquarium people would be, and the overfeeding occured after the first major water change of 50%.

Well you could go for an easy cycling, just leave the tank as it is... ofcourse put a fish, or pure, or shrimp, the usual cycling... then wait. Patience will keep your hobby alive.

Well if that's so... then... dunno, spank him maybe?
