When I ordered fish the ones ordered were Synispilus, Zontas, Hartwegi, and Maculicada. So im sure these are some of them. They are just starting to mature a little. As they have been small, but growing they all have looked pretty well alike. Now they look to be changing some. The Maculicada is easy to seperate at this point. No issues there But. I want to make sure ive got what im looking for.

So I want to make sure ive identified the correct ones. None of them are supposed to be hybrid, all are supposed to be what they are.

Here is what ive got. Sorry about poor photos. just taken with Phone.

I believe this one to be a Zontas, could be wrong.
(but wasnt sure if Hartwegi)

This one is what I believe is to be Synispilus

These I believe to be Hartwegi (But I could have it backwards from Zontas)

Trying to also end up with males only. May need to order some others and rehome the females. Any input from those of you experienced with these would be appreciated.

I agree with the first two IDs. The third could be hartwegi, but it is tough to tell from the pics. I've purchased two fish listed as hartwegi from online dealers, but only one of them has the characteristic overbite of this species. I'm not sure what to make of it. Here are pics of the two. The first fish, without much of an overbite, was a lot bluer than the second one. Both have red freckles and belly (at times).

Love your zonatus by the way - great colors!

Thanks for the great input. It was hard to get any quality shots in that tank as they never like to hold still. Always moving and starting trouble lol.

Im pretty sure they are. I ordered 3 of each breed.

Some are coloring nicely. Some arent. All good fish though.

Thanks for the compliments on the Zonatus.

You have them all figured out, Man!

Thanks bro. I was hoping I did. I've currently got 1 zonatus. Another One on the way. Lost both of my smaller argentea. But have a good sized male on the way the way to replace them.
