Got a Lap from the store! The owner even taught me how to distinguish WC polys from CBs. Heres a pic of the little monster. He's just about 10-11" and used to be the greenest of the bunch. Cant wait to get the colors back!

He said you could see it in the head and the body shape. Notice how WC polys have more of a snake-like head and their bodies are more slim and always look hungry? This Laps got a pretty big head. Cant wait to put him in my tank. Gonna buy dark sand later to show better colors

Thanks for the info and congrats on your find. I had asked this same question on a different thread, never did get a straight answer, but now I know what to look for .... This helps tremendously. Thanks for sharing and congrats once again
 
Very nice pickup. Watch out for the gravel though. He might swallow some of it and it'll be bad news. I'd use sand instead or bare bottom tank.
