i am adding a pleco as we speak hes sitting in the bag and my texas cichlis is already trying to bite him hopefully they get along gonna add some pics momentarely

If hes already going after him you might have problems in the future. Any tankmates? Grab some dither fish to guide attention away from the pleco

Saw your tank setup on another thread you do know you need bogwood to keep a pleco, it part of theie diet.

Also do you know what type of pleco it is? common (L021, L23 i think) pleco grow big.

Also your tank is not cycled or even very mature yet so be careful adding new fish. The more fish the more the bio-load the harder it will be to control any ammonia spikes.

I have no bog wood in my tanks and my plecos always grow really large. All ypu need to do is drop in a couple algae wafers

ohhh i dont have bogwood? how much is it do they NEED it? the fish didnt have it in the tank and i have 1 texas cichlid and 1 pleco there getting along now there doing there own thing

Only certain plecos (mainly panaques) need wood in their tank

Can anyone tell if its a panaques? he cant eat tropical flakes or the dirt in the tank? also im not adding anymore fish for another month
