My Baby Fahaka Pics

So some of you know I finally received a baby Fahaka on July 5th. When I got him he was full of IPs. At one point he was stuck to the filter I really didn't think he would make it. It has been a struggle the past few weeks nursing him back to health. He didn't eat anything the first week.

But now he is doing great! Friday I took him out of quarantine and put him in the main tank. He is eating everything and is bulking up nicely. He is currently in a 75 gallon but when he gets full grown he will be in a much bigger tank. Toying with the idea of a large corner tank.

Yes he is only 2.5" It would typically make the 75 gallon tank seem empty but his personality fills up the tank. Cant wait to grow him out.

sweet baby fahaka...I have 2 ATM..round the 4 inch mark( different tanks!) They have tons of personality..they are my joint favourite puffers with...almost all puffer species really..

I am a puffer addict as well but my wife helps me keep it in check. I have 3 tanks and she says no more. I get away with the 3rd by having it in my kids room and saying it is their tank. I am really loving the Fahaka he has just as much personality as my GSP's but he is going to get bigger!

PS how long did it take your Fahaka to get 4" I see people say 1" per month but from reading whot others are saying about the age and size of theirs I don't think that is true. IT sounds more like 1/2" per month.

Mine once i rid of her ips definitely held true to the statement of 1" per month...

Got her at 1.5" and within 7 months was close to 9"...

I got mine in Jan and they were around 2 and a half inches then. They just seem to be slow growers ATM.They eat well and poop well and have big enough tanks..
