What kind of parachromis is it?

You can see the heavy red tiger influence but the slope face,heavy spotting, green face and blue on the tail and fins make me say dovii cross. I have breed dovii/jag crosses and dovii/red moto crosses and have literally seen hundreds of these that fish isnt pure anything.

I wouldn't rely on color to ID a young fish. Many sp. have different coloration. I've see red motss and yellow ones. I don't think this is a hybrid.

the head and face shape doesnt match loisellei or motaguense that ive owned. doesnt mean its a hybrid, just means there is question

I can rely on color when ive breed and raised lots of them pure and hybrid. I have seen adult male rtm with spotting and hints of blue but never that small, they were always large adult males. That fish looks like the fry my dovii/rtm used to produce so i will say hybrid. Just dont belive this fish is pure and if the owner and all these other people have so many doubts it should be treated as such. If i were u i would not consider or breed this as a pure fish just my opinion. Let him grow out and he should show you more details of what he is. No one on this board can look at this fish and tell u its pure it is impossible and most old school cichlid breeders will tell u if u have serious doubt treat it as a hybrid.
 
I told you wat it was when it's a gray lil fishy long ago right? RTM with Dovii possibilty.

But now Im quite sure it's RTM X DOVII..




The form is all Parachromis. Then you can not deny the Dovii freckles and blue shines along with the rest of the RTM traits..

Definitely 10000% not a Loiselei
 
wow he does look dovii like in body shape. I think its rtm dovii mix. maybe a little percentage of dovii. he has that brute look of a dovii

I think its a wonderful fish. I wudent mind owning one I love hybrids. I REALLY want a Cuban demspey mix
