How much $$$ have you put in to your fish?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Wow, that pond puts 99.9% of MFKers to shame. Awesome video!

I was thinking the same thing when I first saw it. Both of the set ups are crazier then anything I seen on here

Wow. Just wow. About those YouTube clips. Holy crap.

I have 3 tanks running, and I don't like to skimp on low quality stuff, so I'd say 400 on equipment and another 150 on fish (so far hehehe). Not to mention stress coat and the like, food, testing supplies, and the actual water itself. Probably about 50 a month for all that so I've gotten close to a grand since I started

That's a shy estimate too I really would rather not think about how much more it could potentially be.

That also is why I have 2 breeding tanks running, those can pay for themselves after X amount of time really. Breeding convicts n mollies

Well To get this thread more on track

I keep a spread sheat of expenses just for fun as of the last 3 years of setup That has finally leveled out and now is just mostly maintenance.

5 galloon 3 10 gallons and a 55 tall all free on cragslist. 30 tall on sale 30.00. 120 gallon craiglist 20.00 300 gallon plywood tank 400.00

Air pumps got 4 for free with tanks or from friends. But the large wispers for the 120 and the 300 cost me 200.00 total

Filters I run heavy plant filtration and minimal filter setup as im working to go fully solar in the next 2 years so 4 canister filters at 400.00 total and 3 hang on the side filters at 60.00

So grand total with put cost of plants and decore and the fish them selves. 1110.00 Total

I expect my next plywood tank build to run me around 2000.00 in total and the solar setup to be around 1000.

greenbud, you sound like an accountant

where you been? you need to do more threads with your videos man

Well with a new baby in the house hold and an 45 hour a weak job and a Rapidly growing Youtube channel (gaining 800+ a month) My time is limited.
The Mud mower Thing has exploded http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e9CT56XGEiY and takes up most of what free time my Family doesn't get out of me. That and flipping lawn tractor in the summer to bank a good 4k for winter. But other then that im lazey and don't do anything.

I do plan a video on the redtails and TSN about every thing I have learned from 2 inches to 2ft I hope will help others and alow them to avoid tragedies I had happen.
