Rma'd old marineland stealths on recall

So I just got back into the aquarium scene and noticed there was a recall for those blowing up. I called United pet group and they sent me a shipping label to have them replaced. Does anyone know what they replace them with?

I'm guessing some awful unreliable heaters? I certainly don't want one blowing up on me though!

It was replaced with Visa Therm heaters. I used it and did not have any trouble at all but then again I only use it if I have to treat for ich. I really don't need to run a heater 24/7 in Hawaii.
 
Makes sense, I'm debating calling them and see if they are willing to just send me a check in the original value of my stealth heaters. I'd prefer not to have glass and the visitherm heaters do not look like they get glowing reviews.

They will send you replacements, or a check. I started going thru this with them in mid February. I sent my heaters back to them the day after they emailed me the label...then nothing. Apparently they 'never received' the heaters. After numerous calls and emails, they 'found' the heaters that they accepted on Feb 25th. They sent the replacement heaters yesterday. Should have them in the next few days.

Strange. I called them and they sent out the heater immediately and I sent them mines after I received the replacement. Although this was back in 2011 I believe.

Yeah, in my initial contact with customer service they seemed surprised that there were still stealths floating around. I was a tad late to the party. I was taking a break from fish keeping when the recall first started.
