I know its rare and amazing like a fish, but in my opinion the lack of black marks and principally the ''ocelo'' makes him lose the Cichla fashion.

I agree, it isn't an authentic Cichla; because it doesn't have the definitive characteristics of one. But, that being said, I'm just basking in its uniqueness and gold. Truly a rare sight. But don't get me wrong, beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.

Impossible with that body marks say if that boy is a kelberi, but at least this one has a nice jaw compared to the other pics!

I have no clue what species it is, at that size, but I can rule out all the long bodied Cichla.

Have you guys ever heard about two of them breeding? Would be nice to see what genetics would do to the brood..
