Beginner Poly for a 160 gallon tank.

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
does it have night vision? or at least some sort of light that will make it where we can see better? if so then do it lol. That would be amazing to have footage of polypterus at night hunting/feeding.

Dr. B go buy a GoPro 3HD. I race my 2005 Supercharged Lotus Elise around Road Atlanta and thats what I use, it has as sucction cup and 3 way adjustable neck plus it will stream video over your cellphone to via wifi/bluetooth. You can get one on craigslist with the water proof case for about $150-$250

I think they only grow long and not thick. They have smaller heads than most polys so I theyre safe. But they may escape your tank tho unless its secured well including the tubes to your filters and everything. I think they can reach 30" as Ive read somewhere. Would take mighty long for them to grow that long tho. :)

For real my friends rope got out and it was like catching an escaped snake, it was fine afterwards, then he learned to cover his heater hole lol. I would recommend a rope over a poly for this set up, not nearly as many of your fish will be lunch

I've been wanting to do the same thing! Except finding something that won't break the bank is hard lol
