My new friend

i have an african giant mantis growing the moment, i had a flash back when i saw it on ebay here in the uk two for 4 pounds. two days later they arrived by post and i gave my friend one, im 30 and my mates 28 lol!-) mantis arnt native here tho so a bit more exotic too us. mine should get a body length of 4 inch so huuge haha!

I've seen an 8 inch Chinese mantis I was so shocked when I found it I let it go was very cool experience there are some cooler looking ones than Chinese I like the spiny flower mantis how big is your giant mantis

about an inch at the moment, trebled in size in as many weeks... he's eating house fly brains as i write lol!

I just don't want to get bit, 'cuz knowing me my reaction would be to fling it or smash it. Either way is not good for the mantis. I used to not be scared of any bugs until I got bit by a locust and some roaches lol After all that I usually don't pick up insects that may bite.

The chances of you getting bit is slim to none I got bit once and it didnt even hurt if by the slim chance you do just shake it off rather than smashing it
