Can a few rock bass live peacefully with a big black crappie in a 125 gallon? The crappie is a very easy going almost timid fish. Ive heard rock bass are also rather timid and not very aggressive except in breading season. Would i have any problems mixing these?

They should be fine since most rock bass are never get physically aggressive towards to other fishes but if it does, its usually towards to other rock bass.

As MN said. The only problem I have ever had with aggression with Rock Bass is with each other.

I have heard from people who have kept Rock bass with sunfish that they can become aggressive and can hold there own with even Green Sunfish (this was in a overstocked 75g so that may have been part of the problem)...the only ones ive ever tried to keep died in a powerfailure but I would think that in a 125g with structure you shouldn't have any problems

I have a juvenile Rock bass with a larger black crappie and they haven't had any aggression towards each other. Occasionally the Rock bass chases the smaller sunfish but thats probably just territorial. the tank size is 72gal.

I have two big rockbass, one pushing 10" and the other over 10" in with 2 Black Crappie that are 4" or so, they never bother a soul. Only fish that bother others are the big Green Sunfish and a bull Longear Sunfish, but that's only when a fish comes into his house.
