I read that a lot of people are pissed about 47 samurai. Basically they are saying that none of the concepts are new . I don't know much about the plot yet but I don't condone "biting". Either way it looks cool.

Some pretty bad acting, but some pretty good action and characters. Not bad, but not a great movie.
Agreed and only worth mentioning because a few posters in this thread are fans of Liu..Someone said that he had had a stroke and he was wheelchair bound.This film was released in 2012 so I'm not sure if it was completed before his troubles or if he made a full recovery.
I believe that he had his stroke after they finished filming.
Anyone seen The Grandmaster (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1462900/)? It's another movie about Ip Man. I thought it was Ip Man 3, but apparently Ip Man: The Final Fight (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2495118/) is the 3rd movie. Unfortunately, Donnie Yen isn't in either movie.

Also watched man of tai chi... directed by keanu reeves!!!! I know.. I was doubtful...
But lots of very good tai chi fighting in it...with chen lin hu... who is bad ass!!!
I think master ip could have beaten bruce lee if they were both in their prime. Only because I think Ip had more life or death fights and nothing tops experience.
Not even close to blasphemy. Its not as if bruce was undefeated or anything. Plus bruce called him master. I rest my case.
Gordon still is in a wheelchair
Unfortunately after his his stroke he fell into issues with people stealing his money. He has someone more trustworthy handling his money now so hopefully that has passed. Im pretty sure he has seen better days, recently the passing of Lau Kar Leung must have had a huge impact on him, Gordon was unable to attend his Sifu's Funeral, Im sure that was really hard on him as well.
