I hate diatoms but I can live with this look!!

Just wish It stayed I decor and not the glass lol. I guess it helps a bit with nitrates so I can deal.

I love it when it grows on rocks and wood and looks like seaweed.I don't have any since I don't keep my lights on enough to grow any.

Oh I love it lol! I like the lights on too much lol :) plus the way my work schedule goes the lights are on from like 6am till 8pm

had already been wondering lately if there is a way to limit the areas hit by lights, similar to "spotlight" growth for plants & algae areas in tanks, to get the best of both worlds ;-)

yeah that's what I'm talking about, harnessing & directing the Specialness factor to our advantage.
need some of those DIY smart & planted tank mfkers to tell me how.

A little bit of algae definitely has a nice natural appearance to it.:) The problem usually is...if conditions are correct for algae growth...it's hard to maintain the algae at an esthetically pleasing level.;)
