Need some Ideas from people with more experience

Currently have a 75 gallon tank with
1-firemouth 2.5"
1-farowella cat
2-pictus cats

Question- What recommendations do you all have for tankmates.

Something active and schooling plus another firemouth of the opposite sex. Or a couple of other smaller CA cichlids, convict, sajica, etc etc.

Another FM for sure and a school of glass cats would be cool. Those pictus get pretty big though.

I wouldn't add glass cats. Ime FM are kind of rough and the glass cats I've had have been a little reclusive when kept with aggressive fish or outright killed

A decent school of robust tetra like buenos Aries or black phantoms. Even then they might get picked off

cichlasoma nicaraguense and a couple more firemouths.

Fire mouths are really weak and easily killed or damaged. They get bullied often. Be careful what other cichlids you place them with. I think any dither will work.

Salvinis, sajica, and convicts will work. None of them reach over 6 inches and they should do fine with a fm. That farlowella will get killed once that fm reaches 3-4 inches.
