I figured the answer was larger bait. But I was also looking for the exact type of bait. I just didn't type that the way I was thinking of it. But I got my answer above. Ill have to get a large live target field mouse.

Get a large hook for plastics.
Gary yamamoto plastics. A senko wacky rigged works great...no weight. Or a watermelon w/ cinnamon flaked double tail grub. They usually have the brush stuff on the top. I pull that off. ANything gary yamamot. NO weight. Fished really slow. That catches the hogs.

The unweighted yamamotos always float. Thats why I usually use a small worm weight. But I will try no weight this weekend

They float on their own, but if you use the appropriate sized hook they will sink rather slow and that's what draw's the big fat lazy bass to it that you're looking for.

Going to chadwick lake all weekend. Last week before school starts so I want to fish a lot

Are you using EWG or standard hooks? I believe that the lazer sharp hooks are a bit skinnier (not saying they are bad) but I use Gamakatsu's and they are somewhere in between 100% buoyant and a 1/16 oz weight.

I have no idea what type they are. Heres a picture of them. I bought them a while ago.

Caught 4 bass this morning at 6am nothing big. Any tips to catch only big big bass? As in over 4 lbs only. I hate these little 2-3 pounders. I catch way to many of them. How could I target larger bass?

Caught a bunch of fish today on chadwick. Caught a big crappie today. My pb crappie by Far. He was about 14" and thought he was a bass. Then he was a slab. It might look small but it was a defent size.

I caught it on a 3" deep diving crankbait. I plan on catching more tommorow after I go for a run in the morning. I want to go to the end of the lake tommorow if the weather pans out.
