Cheap but efficient canister filters?

I got my sunsun on Friday the UV came broken and it leaked water from clamps like steady stream of it. I think water might be coming into the barrel head cause of the output/input connector... I contacted the company and they said they'll send me a new UV and a new connector so hopefully the connectors stops it from leaking

thats another thing i dont wanna buy a crappy filter that starts leaking and get 20 gallons of water on my hardwood floors
 
I run both the Rena and SunSun and in comparison, the Rena is much better built all around but moves 187gph when full of media. The SunSun moves twice as much water with twice the space for media, but also consumes more power. SunSun has a UV(although I'm not sure how effective it really is) and Rena has better parts.

Really depends on what your application is. Both are roughly $100......
