I remember a while back somebody linking a site that sold like, 500 guppies for $26 + shipping or something. Can't find the link.

Anybody have it or something similar? My LFS is failing to provide enough feeders for my tentacled snakes, and I'm thinking of just having a ton of them delivered to my LFS so I can pick them up there.

Thanks in advance!

(I'd also accept other types of non-cyprinid feeders that are similarly sized or a bit larger than guppies and can be purchased in bulk. My LFS sometimes gets feeder mollies, for example.)

You could try a want to buy add for people's cichlid fry. Maybe a bait shop.

I know there are sites that sell them! I could have sworn I'd bookmarked one but can't find it.

Hey buddy - how are you doing ? Saw the video - awesome!

Do you have a way to go netting locally? This won't work in the winter, but if you can do this - you could get endless amounts of minnows, and baby sunfish for a couple of hours of netting.

They are also much easier to keep alive than, say, guppies or mollies.

You may also want to get some fish that are very easy, and fast, to breed - that get too big for the snakes to eat - Think Tilapias - or even Convicts.

Check Craigslist for free Cichlid fry, or free convicts - or tell the local stores that you want them, so that when the stores are offered them, instead of turning them away, they can pass them on to you.

Not sure about the sunfish but I think the minnows are cyprinids.

Wouldnt there be a threat of diseases if you done this?

The disease threat to snakes is minimal, if there's any at all.
Also - if nothing else, it would be much less of a threat than farmed feeders for that matter.

I have a reliable minnow dealer that i go to in order to buy minnows, depends on the clerk the day, but i can get about 80 for $5. I used half of them for fishing and feeding my bass, the other half are still alive in buckets after a week.
