Quick thoughts:

1) even though Denver's line can't run block (this giving th broncos a bad running game), they seem good enough in pass protection

2) the ravens defense is even worse than I thought it was. Ngata and Suggs were good, but other than that, who else do they have?

3) Joe Flacco went right back to being an above average but not elite QB. I always knew that contract was gonna be a mistake. The ravens are really gonna hate using 1/6th of their cap space on him.

Really. The Ravens didnt loose. that much they do have some talent still in the Defense. Hell they even have Dummerville now. Far as Im concerned Lewis was washed up last year.

Neither team really had a lot on the ground going and Rice is a good running back for the Ravens. Are you saying Denver's Defense was that good to shut down Rice and the Offensive line of Baltimore? Or is Balitmores Offensive line that poor as well?

I think Denevers still got more to show in the run game then you expect. First game. more to come I think.

I think the ravens are who we thought they were. An average regular season team that turns it on in the playoffs. They lost 6 or 7 games last year before that streak through the Superbowl. Rarely are they at the top of the standings by years end but have won a playoff game every year for 5 years. They'll be fine and ruining someone's year by the times its all said and done. Just hope its not your team

What makes you feel they suck?

well let me start off saying that Ryan Clady is really good, so thats not the issue, nor is Zane Beadles. The problem is the Right Side of the line. Orlando Franklin is below average, and so is Manny Ramirez. Louis Vasquez? Wasn't he horrible for the Chargers last year?

You could see last night that the line is nothing special. They held their own against the pass rush, but there was no holes for the running back to hit. Trust me, I'm used to seeing a poor run blocking team (the Giants line was one of the worst run blocking lines in the league last year, while being on of the best pass protecting lines) and could tell that they were struggling.

The Ravens may have not lost a ton of talent, but they lost their heart in Ray Lewis and Ed Reed, plus their depth is fairly poor, leaving them vulnerable to up tempo teams and the altitude in Denver.

I never said anything about the Broncos defense, its good and you'll never hear me say that they aren't. They did help shut down Ray Rice, although losing Michael Oher didn't really help the Ravens. The Ravens have a fine offensive line, but again, I never brought that up.

And finally, I must repeat again, that no, their running game will not do much. Thats ok though when you have Peyton at QB. Montae Ball may be a good RB someday, but right now, he has no chance because 1) Apparently he hasn't mastered all the pass protection schemes and can't be trusted in those situations and 2) he runs behind a crappy line. The other 2 Broncos running backs instill no sense of fear in me (Knowshon Moreno? really?).

Don't think I'm dissing the Broncos, they are my super bowl pick for the AFC.

the ravens under utilized ray rice, over half the time he was on the field, they used him for pass blocking. Waste of a weapon. Their receivers were tired as hell.

He seems like one of those players who has all the talent but no luck. Hopefully be can stay healthy. I hate to what could be a bright future, shattered by injuries.
