Lets play find the shy moke

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
just noticed the palmas palmas in the back man he is looking good. If only my polys wouldn't uproot anything that goes into the sand

Ya she is beautiful. Love her head shape! All the plants in my tank are tied to rocks buried under the sand or tied to the wood. And yet I still find damaged/uprooted plants. Makes me wonder what they do when the lights go out lol!

That tank is beautiful!! Makes me want to attempt live plants in my tank but I know it's useless with my brutes lol

Tonight she was right at the krill with my sen and del, pretty happy to watch her sniff it out so hungrily! Maybe she's been eating all along and I just didn't see.

Just an update on my favorite poly (shhh, none of the others heard). She's doing so well! She hangs out in the middle of the tank so I get to see her much more than my other wc poly; I'm kind of surprised at how un-shy she is. Hasn't gotten very dark but I have such light sand. moke4.jpgmoke5.jpgmoke6.jpgmoke7.jpg

Is your moke wild caught?

Mine is very shy and only comes out at dimmed light, also has darkened up due to my dark substrate. I love their dark shade and yellowish fins

Yes she is wild caught. I haven't ever heard of a captive bred one but I suppose they might exsist somewhere. I'm considering switching to a darker red sand like so many people here use but I really like the overall natural look of my tank (plus it's heavily planted/decorated so it would be a pain to switch). I expected her to be shy, and she will retreat if I stick my face right up there but she spends a lot of time hanging out near the front.
