Ok Moderators!!!! I think we all need the option to manage our own threads and keep unwanted visitors from getting on and saying stupid things!! Like the guy/girl above me ^^^needs to be banned or at least banned from access to any of my threads please.

And for the Record, myself and a couple of guys who are working with these and other umbees. know exactly where these umbees come from! the labels have been put in place to help the hobby keep track of which is which without giving you the proper locations:) So yes we are gonna have all kinds of fun with this. i hope you have all kinds of fun watching us have fun:)

I agree the trolling gets old and some just can't help themselves.

You post on internet.
hey I'll stop posting in your thread no problem.
but :)
To me, I think it's fresh healthy bloodline and good looking Umbees. Just like Weight pulling pit bull x bully pit bull. They make good dogs..

If location point is so important to you that you must use a letter because you dont know the location(that's funny). Then you are contradicting that with this. That's how Carpintis became less value to purists. Because of the location fad and trend.

funny. nevermind
whatever. bye

Very nice Umbees and fish you have :)

The location is Lake Guatape, "Location X" was only used in the beginning for a short time. The name is still used now only because of the popularity these umbees received when they first hit the hobby, and ppl know right away when they hear it.

The main reason why both strains (Rio Madalena and Lake Guatape) are being bred to one another is because there are in fact no pure female Lake Guatape umbees available here at the moment. And so the hobby moves on with the next best thing, with the goal of producing the next level of blue umbees. The True Super Blue Freckled Monster Project!!! Nothing like what's been going on with carpintis at all.

Rio Magdalena umbees are great but Lake Guatape are just a little bit better Troy, I don't know where your confusion is coming from. If you like what's there now then keep it and enjoy it ;) good luck to you bro.

This is my little male, "Xerxes" i picked up from Umbeeking. He is only 3.5" and coming along very nicely!!! I have another male that looks very similar to Xerxes that i will most likely keep also:)

Wowzers brother!! Stunning show stoppers would be insulting at this point! I'd have to say this guy is the bench mark example! Man I can't wait to see what's produced with this pair! Doesn't get much more beautiful, but when we see what comes from this another line will be drawn even higher! Wow!
