Man you sure have a quick trigger finger. I can never get that shot. Between getting the fish framed in the picture and snapping during a yawn that's got to be the hardest fish to photograph.

Yep. I've never succeeded in getting a yawn shot of any of my tigers either.

Thanks for all the comments guys. "Gauge" is what I think i want to name this guy. At the moment he is dropping old teeth and getting new. Must be one of the most exciting parts about owning goliath. The new dentation is almost oversized when it comes in i guess for growing room. And they come in fast don't they? His lips were cut from the teeth and are healing up as the new teeth come through. DOn't know why the lips even bother healing, next cuts will be twice the size.lol I was ready to get a big koralia for current, but as of now am deciding against it. Without the heavy current he is a really chill fish. Like, these pics were taken with the phone against the glass... He doesn't really spooke. Yet I am surprised how nice his build/shape is from not getting exercise like a high current living fish. I need that because there is traffic occasionally in the room he is located. I had some larger tinfoils with the guy until last week. The three tinfoils were constantly chasing each other around and actually bumping into the tiger. The tiger took it like a man but could tell he wasn't happy that they were running the tank. They were also hogging all the food. So i traded them in for small tinfoils and started over again. Now the tiger is king. Actually, i thought the lion was king, whateva...

update...
The new teeth were coming in nicely overnight. Noticed the teeth are getting really "thick" now. They were like needles now they are getting whiter and thicker. Maybe even twice as thick as the last set. Also noticed the gum tissue where the new teeth are coming through is really swollen. Saw him shed at least 4 times now and never the swelling in the mouth like this bout. Love having a goliath that i can get right up to and not have him hitting the lid!!! In the next day or so i will get updated pics and i'm sure this new dentation will be highly noticeable. guessing a size of 7.5 inches at this time.
