Even if you attempt to find one you need a larger tank? A 75g woth arrowana and clown knives! Even your sig says if you cant house it dont buy it even though you did

I saw the arowana in a tiny tank, I put it in my 75 gallon. I will think about upgrading but I see so many people having this combination in a 75 gallon and in a 55 gallon too. Mine is a jardini, not a silver, it doesn't get to 4 foot.....it's the smallest, it is also fine keeping it in a 75 gallon. The clown knife too, at the most they could probably get to 20 inches but kept well, even bigger. A dwarf goonch is only 10 inches long, but fine....I will not choose to keep it. In my LFS they kept it in a tiny tank less than 10 gallons......I'll just stick with a target fish. I will go back to the target fish thread. If you are gonna call me a troll, nevermind.

A jardini needs at minimum a 180 to thrive.

They are fine....

Dude. Sorry to say but rob and strollo are pretty reliable sources of info on this stuff. Your jar needs a bigger tank, a "dwarf" goonch needs a bigger tank (because undoubtedly it will outgrow that tank, there is no true dwarf, just stunted giants). Your clown knife wont be able to turn around in a 75 at 20 inches w/o hitting the wall. You got big fish dude, you need a bigger tank. If you dont want to listen to people who clearly have more experience then you just keep doing what your doing, watch your fish get stunted and sick. Like someone else has already said, hopefully it will be a lesson to properly keep fish in the future.

Whoever is keeping a jar and clown knife in a 55 w/o plans to upgrade when they outgrow that tank, is foolish and shouldnt be keeping fish. The pretentiousness of some people, they simply cant get it through their heads that theyre doing something wrong.

A fish is not that stiff, it can turn a few inches.....my tank is 40 by 18 by 24, and the fish can still turn at 20 inches because it isn't a twig....a jardini is normally about 18 inches long max, what is the problem with a fish in a 40 by 18 by 24 if it can turn and swim?

Here in Hong Kong, all the fish keepers don't have those massive 300 gallon tanks or whatever crazy size tanks you people might have. Our LFS also said that it would be fine to keep a arowana in a 40 inch tank. I believe that a 75 gallon would be tight, but it would work, but I agree with the bigger the better for tanks. I know that the best size tank for those fish should be over 100 gallons, but if I were to give them away, nobody I know has such a large tank and my LFS kept it in a tiny tank only about 10 gallons.

So if i told you that you can live in a closet you'd be fine right? I mean you're not a twig so it's all good? Fallacy of popularity. Just because so many do it doesn't mean its right you sir have the wrong idea of "fine" for fish
