Here's three G. polyuranodon I caught the other week. Never seen them in anything other than full fresh. Caught at night with spotlight and handnets. Not the easiest thing to catch, they can disappear into the smallest gaps under rocks. Biggest is 2.5ft, little guy is about 11". Beautiful eels and amazing to watch them swimming around the tank, primarily shrimp eaters so fish safe as well.

Awesome catcth send me that big one LOL.

G. polyuranodon are awesome fish. I have had my group going for over two years all freshwater. I got my first one over two years ago from Wes and then a year later got 3 more. Since I have had them in a group they are pretty active and very aggressive feeders. They are doing great and getting big. One day I will get a thread going on them.

They turn up from time to time in the stores here.I was never really into them but I don't recall them being sold for more than twenty or thirty dollars each.

I had one a few years back others have bought them in but not very often and no where near $30. I actually didnt know much about them and i had him in brackish and then full salt before i sold him. Folks on this board swore up and down there was no freshwater eel when i had him.
