How is the government shut down affecting you?

Im not. Not at all. Services I use arnt.

A family friend works for (cough cough) quite high up and is furloughed but still could buy a ring costing more than the average car. This persons raise, yes raise was as much as I make as a firefighter. No joke. Tells me they can take a furlough.
 
The whole program is a big mess in this town..I'm not going to go on a drawn out tirade on it but I'll just say that it's destroyed some good neighborhoods due to it being given to the wrong people here.

Yes unfortunatly it happens here ,too....nice apt. Complex's end up projects with drug activity....I at this point feel fortunate to qualify for good housing...even though it took cerebral palsy to qualify
 
Yeah we was super close to catching the alien we've been talking too but now we have to wait until the government opens up again.. kinda sucks. I reckon he won't be back anytime soon. :(

The federal government is the largest employer in the country and these employees are our friends and neighbors in every neighborhood in America.

Millions of people aren't working or getting their paychecks because of the shutdown. Many of the same people aren't making the purchases and other investments that drive our economy.

The bottom line is that the shutdown is affecting everyone either directly or indirectly.
