Damn that felt like work responding to all those pm's.. Just to keep all parties on even ground.. I am getting offers well over asking. I will arrange for pick up tonight to the best offer.
It's body is all wasted away...what happened to it?
It did what's in its sport fishing nature and went ape **** when it was fished out of the 500g and during transport (aka jumped). Only while bagged did we figure out that once they are turned upside down, they go into a hypnotic state which makes them easier to handle especially at this size. In addition while in quarantine, a little bastard albino giant gourami nibbled at his fins...That gourami was promptly removed and is now dead. So other than a few scales and tattered fins which is an easy recovery the fish, it is looking as it should.
Would love to see another African Tiger fish, Goliath or Vittatus at this size for comparison and/or reference.
(Edited: just noticed that what might be making you think that is the angle of the shot.. the pics are not a straight side shot.. it is an angled shot of the fish swimming and turning which is probably why the body lines look tapering..also it is being quarantined in a 100g corner curved tank which might cause distortion.)
I can assure you this fish looks SIIIIICK.
