Adding the 1000 watt true temp to my sump. Trying to save some electricity any advice on how the MFK guys heat there big tanks?

Heat the room...especially in San Diego.
If you're going to add a heater or two, I'd do it in the tank. You're going to lose a lot more heat out of your sump than in a well-covered tank.

Nice one! I can add some insulation on the top and maybe around the sump itself. Anybody know any great insulation products that look nice?
Anybody use this Heater...True Temp Titanium Heating System - 800 WATTS
I know they make a 1000 watt heater also but the 800 watt one is on special at this time for 125 bucks!
With Insulation will one of these in the tank next to a high output power head keep the water at 77?

I was thinking the tru temp 1000 watt heater is on special now. I was thinking using this 1000 watt heater along with a 300 watt Jager. I wanted to add the 300 jager in the tank set at highest so it will always be on and then have the tru temp in the sump. Any ideas. I know the controller is a cool product but it would cost almost the same this other way. I have 2 big tanks I was gonna do it this way.
I was checking these out for some circulation Hydor Koralia Evolution Pumps. I like the low wattage on these. Anybody use them?
I will have my new doggy door up this weekend so I was thinking I could get away with 1300 watts on this tank. I am pumping the tier 4 and in San Diego its crazy the high prices we have to pay. Hope the doggy door and house heated up will save me from extreme bills. I have 1800 gallons of water in my fish room/living room.

Actually some guy on Ebay just told me that petsolutions is dumping a bad patch of tru temp heaters for that low price on there clearance he said he pays 150 wholesale for them. I wonder if the guy knows something?
Heat pump... I use 700Ws to heat over 1500 gallons IT DONT GET BETTER THEN THAT! feel sorry every time I see a 300W heater lol, $$$$ out the window. do it right and save long term. Using aquarium heaters just wastes money imo .
