Anyone else have "that spot" in their aquarium?

When I feed floating food, any uneaten pellets always accumulate in the same spot. In my case its in the back corner above the canister filter's intake, which makes sense.

Also unfortunately is a tough spot to get at to remove the food.
 
Ha ha I have to laugh I was dealing with this last night. My tank became out of level and one of my overflows is lower than the other and the pellets go right to it. Pisses me off! I might try a feeding ring.

I would take that tank down and level it properly. If the tank is moving while full that can lead to a disaster of the stand gives out from barring the weight in evenly.

Op get a strong circulation pump. My problem is they go behind the out put of my aqua clear. I put a wave maker in and it stopped. When the pellets get stuck the current moves it around the tank. Also helps with the fish finding it cause when the pellets go in front of the pump they get pulled under water and it catches the attention of the fish.

What is a feeding ring?


@doomiedee - Yeah I was considering adding a powerhead, but I'd like to avoid any additional "visible" equipment if possible. Already dealing with the intakes of my canister, HOB, and my two heaters lol.

A feeding ring is just a floating ring that stays at the surface and keeps all the food in one place. I agree with vet. A spray bar would be best for you since you want to hide it. You could even attach one to the output hose of your canister.

Get some eartheaters or rays, or something else that's going to stir around the bottom and prevent this from happening. There's a couple spots in my 300 where stuff accumulates, but not often and it's up front where I can vac it easily.
