  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Can't feel my fingers anymore. Word of advice to future builders doing this solo in the future is get yourself 2 cordless drills. One to pre drill and one to screw. Changing from drill bit to driver sucks.:banghead:

Been there. Yep its a must if your pre drilling holes for your screws you need one drill just for drilling and the other for your screwing. Looks like its coming together nicely.

how will u move this beast??:nilly:

Going to have to wait and see. I have a few ideas in my head but don't know which one will work best.

Lol.

What kind of screws is it you are using again

Have you ever built anything before? Most of your questions would be answered with a little bit of searching? It doesn't seem like you have the knowledge to be taking on such a large build by yourself

Yes. Used to build houses. Didn't know if there was a certain kind of screw recommended for this

Sorry If I offended

I'm keeping up with your thread. Looks great so far !

No offense taken. It is just me looking out for you. With the amount of water you are looking at and the questions you are asking I think you are in over head.

You have already changed your mind multiple times on what it is you want to do. The size of your build has changed, the method of building has changed and finishing materials has changed. It is constantly changing.

I understand there are questions to be asked but a little research goes a long way. I chose to build this tank almost exactly the same way JohnG and VLdesign built theirs because it has been tested and proven to work. Again this is not a 40 gallon breeder this is a serious amount of water that can do a serious amount of damage if something is not right.

Yea my mind is changing a lot cause I won't have my new house until another year passes lol. I've been doing alot of reading ect. There is just an abundant wealth of information. A lot of it contradicts with others people's advice to lol

Good advice. Better yet, get a corded drill also. Nothing stinks more than having to wait for batteries to charge. I usually have 2 cordless and 1 corded with me for builds.

I done a little a bit of searching (actually a lot) and couldn't find where it said what kind of screws you were using. So what kind of screws are you using, other than a lot of them?
